Yeah, I wondered if things were leading that way.

With Apt. Y getting all but wiped out, he wants to organize people a bit and maybe (probably) build some KH Memory Pods for the increasing number of comatose bodies.

At the very least, it's something he's planning to do for Ikki and Akito. Maybe Apt. Y can become his new SCIENCE BASEMENT.

Other things . . . he wants to take Yuta potato hunting. Wants to see Yamamoto and Gokudera get back together, because there's something bizarre about that not happening. He really really wants to try preserving something edible in the slime off Ur'ghaste's rotting tree shrine, but he's trying to suppress that urge a bit.

. . . and he wants to see the truth of what happened on this world to make it this way, and know the truth of who they, the current inhabitants, really are.

If you haven't answered this somewhere already, what are Gokudera's thoughts on the Yamamoto-Chrome relationship?

Equal parts jealous and glad, but he does focus more on the glad half since romantic feelings towards Yamamoto in any form are all still messily tangled up in his River feelings.

On the one hand he does want more attention like that from Yamamoto. The quiet easy comfort that isn't laced through with the whole LED VONGOLA TO SABRA thing or YOU LOOK LIKE YOUR DEAD FUTURE SELF or things like that which just make everything uncomfortable, at least on Dera's end. But on the other hand he's glad that they managed to bond the way they have. At least this way they weren't just alone and miserable waiting on people who'd never come home again. This way they had some kind of support. \o/

Does Zexion have any particular thoughts on Hydracula splitting up in terms of living arrangements?

Mostly that it was for the best. Scowl . . . needed to not be Scowl any more, needed to not be in charge or be a leader, and he just . . . wasn't managing that with Zexion and Fang right there. Things were breaking on an 'either you're with me or you're against me' line, and the one thing Zexion absolutely did not want to do was break Gokudera further.

For Nova to not be Scowl, there needed to not be a Hydra making him Scowl. As much as leaving had a chance of triggering plenty of 'you're all abandoning me' feelings, it was also the best way to say 'hey, we can look after ourselves, you aren't responsible for us'.

And Zexion, at least, has tried to stay accessible, if not geographically close. He has a passage down to Y and a portal out to E, and through those E was linked to Y as well, in addition to being just across the hall.

Tell me about something that surprised Gokudera in Thusia.

The gods, specifically Eizon. He's barred from dealing with him now since he's become a priest of Zhen Ji, but he did do a couple of quests for him before then. And even though he was and still is reminded of King every time he thinks of Eizon at all, none of the quests he got from him were even remotely negative. They were all about helping the community and the people in the area on some level, and that was a sharp change from what he'd come to expect with the Sabra gods wanting everyone to work against each other as much as possible. So it was a big surprise to him, and one that he's still adjusting to in some ways.

Does Zexion know about the planned bakery/weapons dealing yet :|a What does/would he think about that?

He doesn't! I don't know many of the details myself, but I think he'll see it mostly as a very good outlet for Gokudera's need for a mafia-like presence here. Definitely a good sign that he's at least starting to work through his feelings of 'I died and everything is ruined forever'.

Man Gokudera still doesn't know about Zexion's contract with Saber yet. I thiiink AJ asked you about that already, so tell me about his feelings on the Allen-Endiku thing.

He is still very cranky about it. He hates the entire concept of the mythmon having to soulbond to people, though he's given up faulting them personally for it. Mostly he's just incredibly frustrated with Allen for agreeing to it the same day he met the guy and then failing to really grasp why Dera was so upset about it. And he's frustrated that he couldn't really be frustrated about it because Allen started breaking down (because it held a significance to Allen of still being capable of helping/saving people or something along those lines.)

Basically if he thinks about it he's still incredibly unhappy about it, but it's not something he can act on or express feelings about without making things worse for Allen.

What's Zexion most afraid of here?

That's . . . actually a hard one.

Dying and/or getting sucked into Nature the way he was trapped in the pillar, probably. The latter isn't really something he knows can happen (as the people he's found or heard about were all spider food), but when he learns about it that will top things for sure.

Really, really don't want another eight to eighty years in horrible limbo stasis. Not again.

Who are the best and worst people that could show up here for Gokudera?

Best is prooobably his mother. She's dead in canon, so he wouldn't be stuck having to deal with coming to terms with the uneasy feeling of "She died." He's already done that! Instead he'd just get to work on learning how to relate to her as a son to a mother and building up the relationship and getting to protect the shit out of her. It still isn't an ideal situation to regain her in, but it is the most positive reunion with a person he could get in this place.

Worst isss a tough one. Comedy answer is Bianchi for obvious reasons, but more seriously it's probably Byakuran as the last terrible enemy he remembers. The one that scared him enough to go to Sabra in the first place.

What would Zexion's feelings be if Dera did start to remember camp?

At this point? Disbelieving shock. A whole ton of regret because Gokudera remembering means facing again how badly fucked up their relationship in Sabra was, and how legitimately close Zexion came to destroying Scowl's heart rather than dealing with it.

Part of him would want very desperately to hug Gokudera and just not let go, and another just as powerful part would be frozen, knowing that he still doesn't have the right to do that until Gokudera returns that right to him. Which would depend, a lot, on what those memories were.

If they weren't of Zexion specifically, he'd probably just . . . be quiet and a little shocked, but pretty . . . nonreactive. Sad, but in a lot of ways he's accepted that being a Nobody is bound to mess with being remembered, and it's . . . okay. He'd hope they were memories of Yamamoto, at least, to balance out all the experiences with River.

If they were something of Zexion himself . . . granted, knowing Zexion's luck, if Gokudera remembered him specifically rather than camp in general it would probably start with something like . . . man, when he rescued Gokudera from Dietrich and kind of shuffled through all Gokudera's memories of hurt and humiliation, but.

Even then.

Hugging and disbelief and probably damp eyes if not full-out tears. And quiet but a very, very heartfelt apology. Again. Because remembering doesn't make things okay. It . . . means there's another way they can relate, but remembering something from that time doesn't make Nova Gokudera any more than being remembered makes Zexion a Nobody with an attachment problem.

But it's closer.

How would Gokudera react to meeting another of himself here?

If it's a canon!Dera or another AU of himself that's had an easier time than Nova himself has (which isn't very hard to do) he will just be bitterly jealous and angry and resentful and won't want anything to do with him.

If it's one on an even worse level, he'll be disgusted. How could someone manage to fuck up his life even worse than he did himself? CLEARLY not worth wasting his time on.

And if its one on the same level of fuck up that he is, he'll just hate them because he hates himself anyway. He doesn't want someone who can understand all his flaws when they also have all his flaws. He fucking hates those flaws!!

So no matter what he will detest a double in some way and will generally be a bitch to them.
